Vehicle Description

This 1967 Comet Cyclone GT left the factory on November 4, 1966, before being delivered to Mercury dealer Big Sky Motors in Cut Bank Montana. Mercury only sold 3,420 Cyclone GTs for the 1967 model year. Of those, only 147 were painted Turquoise, making this rare car even rarer. The paint and trim on this Cyclone present beautifully, accented with a black factory style lower side stripe and set off by a set of Magnum 500 wheels fitted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white lettered tires staggered 205/70R-14 front and 235/70R-14 rear for just the right stance. The underside of this classic is detailed and looks as nice as the rest of the car. The attractive bucket seat interior is very clean and stock in appearance with the exception of few quality upgrades that include a period correct aftermarket wood-rimmed steering wheel, Hurst shifter and a RetroSound AM/FM stereo. The dash features a rare factory-style 7,000 rpm tachometer. 390 Cubic inch V8 4-Speed Top Loader transmission Hurst shifter Rare M-Code 3 2-barrel intake and carburetors 9-inch 3:25 post-traction rear end One of 147 Cyclone GT car painted Turquoise from the factory Magnum 500 wheels Marti Report Factory front disc brakes Under the factory twin-scoop hood is a highly detailed engine bay with what is believed to be the 390 cubic inch engine upgraded with a rare M-Code Thunderbird 3 2-barrel intake and carburetors topped with a polished M-Code Thunderbird air cleaner, period correct M/T finned aluminum valve covers, Flame Thrower distributor and power front disc brakes. Power is sent back to the rear wheels through a factory top loader 4-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch 3:25 posi-traction rear end. A dual exhaust system rumbling through Flowmaster mufflers creates a sound that is music to any car enthusiast's ears. A Marti Report is with the car verifying is authenticity. This very rare, exceptionally clean, carefully upgraded and powerful 1967 Mercury Cyclone GT presents a exciting opportunity to own a very unique example of a Mercury Muscle car that is seldom offered for sale.
